Pom wonderful presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold is a great documentary. Actually it’s a movie about making a movie. The documentary shows different faces of marketing, and advertising. It is a different side of advertising that i’ve never see. As I've known for documentaries that are boring, after watching this documentary, my mind refreshed. It is amazing yet still unanswerable how advertising invade our daily lives. Morgan spurlock creatively shows the world of product placement. Product placement has become a major part of the entertainment industry. As far as your eyes reach, there is advertising. The documentary shows how spurlock go to one big company to another to find a one who is willing to finance the greatest film which is a brand-everything film. It’s about advertising, and of course money. What also interests me in the documentation is the question “is there such a thing as truth in advertising?” Probably an advertiser would say yes. But for me, it is only a matter of getting fooled or not. Just look at the product label and decide. I like watching the whole film. It is very helpful especially for a marketing student like me. The documentary is informative yet entertaining. There is humor in everything. I really recommend it to watch. |
